This morning, we will look at a very important Biblical principle that has inspired me for a very long time. As believers in Christ, we are new creatures. A new creature means one who has neither past nor history but a new product; a new being made by God. God made a new product called the new creature and the Bible tells us that this new man is recreated in the image of him that made him. We are made in the image of God; we are like Him and we are to function like him.
The Bible tells us that as He is…so are we in this world (1 John 4:17). Question; How is he? Is he broke? Sick? Dying? Suffering? Poor? Etc… an Emphatic No. He is healthy and strong and full of glory, wisdom and life; that is the way God sees us when he looks at us. God does not see you as a suffering young person or parent trying to get your life underway; No. God sees you as a new creature with who nothing is impossible. God sees you healthy and strong and full of wisdom.
You may say,…Ï am sick today, I am dying, My business has packed up and things are going really awry with me. Stop those thoughts and look away unto Jesus who is the author and finisher of your faith.
The Bible says that through knowledge shall the just be delivered… (Proverbs 11:9). The just will be delivered through knowledge. You’d ask; knowledge of what? Knowledge of how God sees him; knowledge of the truth of his real nature. God sees you healthy, rich, strong, blessed and successful. You’d ask me; how do you know that? The answer is in the word of God. The word of God defines us. It tells who we truly are irrespective of what our eyes see and our minds experience.
The Bible tells us that as we behold the glory of God in a mirror, we are changed. 2 Corinthians 3:18; But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. What have you been looking at? That dying child? That account in red? That sick loved one? What have you been seeing? It’s time to switch from seeing the darkness and to turn away with eyes of faith on the master.
The just shall be delivered by his knowledge of the truth about him. Don’t let the lies of the devil or the earthly transient things you see make you change your belief of the truth. The Bible says “While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal”. The things that are physical are subject to change. They will only change when you change what you see. How soon can they change? As soon as your gaze can be focused on the truth.
God bless you.
