I want to share a few thoughts with you this morning. As I meditated, the Lord led me to Genesis 3:11  ‘And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?’
The emphasis is on the ‘Who told you’? Most times, we endorse what we are told and God knew that whatever was going to happen with Adam and all of man as it were, would be consequent upon what he is told and what he endorses.
Perhaps someone just went to the hospital and the doctor said; ‘I’m sorry but you have just 6 months to live’ or perhaps the doctor says; ‘I’m sorry ma but you cannot have a baby’ or ‘you cannot walk again’ etc.
The bible however presents another report. In 1 Peter 2:24, the word says; “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed“.
Here we are presented with two reports- The doctor’s report and the report of God. The Prophet Isaiah asked in Isaiah 53:1; “who hath believed our report?” The doctor is saying based on his intellectual abilities but here is God saying in his infinite power and ability that even that dead report can be changed.
Who told you that you are naked? who told you that cannot have a baby? who told you that you can never walk again? Well, turn again and consider; what has God said about you? Who has God made you?
There is no hopeless situation with Jesus; regardless of what the doctor has said or what the facts are. Settle it in your heart that God’s word is the ultimate truth and reality about your life and watch him show up in your unique condition. Stick to the word of God; you will have a testimony this year.
God bless you.
